Dr. Hilary A. Lochte is Professor of Education and Education Department Chair at D’Youville College, USA. Her research, teaching, and service focus on the needs of youth in today’s urban communities as she provides support for new and practicing teachers to utilize multicultural children’s literature in service of powerful literacy. Dr. Lochte teaches courses in Children’s Literature and Multiculturalism and she serves as a co-facilitator for the D’Youville College chapter of Girls Who Code.As an educational leader, Dr. Lochte’s work and research focuses on the current context of teacher education.Dr. Lochte collaborates with colleagues on Education Department initiatives such as the D’Youville College History Hunters Program, serving middle school teachers and students in the Buffalo Schools.
